What is BodyTite?
BodyTite is the latest advanced body contouring procedure that utilizes radio-frequency assisted lipolysis (RFAL) technology. This minimally invasive workstation for the face and body shapes, contracts and contours without the worry of large visible scars. This all equates to noticeable, lasting results.
Patients obtain excellent results without significant downtime. It is a great solution for individuals who are looking to reduce fat without the saggy, wrinkly skin that can come with other forms of liposuction. BodyTite is also terrific solution for patients with skin laxity without excess fat.
BodyTite gently treats fat in stubborn areas while tightening the skin, helping you sculpt your body into its ultimate shape. More benefits over traditional liposuction include uniform treatment, consistent results, less bruising, less swelling and pain, shorter downtime, and improved safety.
I feel like my skin has tightened and formed to my body and I don’t have saggy skin or rolls anymore. Three years after having my baby, I feel like I have a new body image and my shape back.L.M., Patient
How Is The BodyTite Procedure Performed?
BodyTite a minimally invasive procedure that delivers results without forcing patients to go under the knife.
At Southeastern Dermatology it is performed in the office and no knives or scalpels are used. The patient remains comfortable during the procedure thanks to a local anesthetic. After the patient is numb, Dr. Doppelt uses the BodyTite hand-held cannula applicator to transfer radiofrequency directly into the fat with an internal electrode. The RF energy then travels up through the tissues to the external electrode on the skin surface. The system monitors both the internal and external temperatures in real time which ensures adequate heating of the fat and skin while automatically shutting off before unsafe temperatures are reached. Microcannulas are then used to remove the melted fat and oil. After BodyTite, patients can typically resume non-strenuous activities in 2 to 3 days.
Is It FDA Approved?
BodyTite was approved by the FDA in November 2016. It has been used successfully and safely for several years in Europe before it earned approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
What Areas Can It Treat?
If you can imagine it, BodyTite can do it. Common areas that this advanced technology can treat include the stomach, arms, chest, knees and inner/outer thighs. Multiple areas can be treated in one visit.
How Quickly Will I See Results?
A single treatment of BodyTite per area is usually all that is needed. Patients will almost immediately see the results of the removed fat. Skin contraction is often noticeable after 6 weeks but continues to improve up to one year after treatment.
What Does BodyTite Cost?
The cost of a BodyTite procedure depends on many factors. There is no one-size-fits-all price. Factors that might influence the price include the amount of fat that needs to be removed and the severity of your body’s loose skin. The number of areas being treated can also influence the cost of the procedure.
However, it is important to know that the cost of BodyTite can cost significantly less than more invasive body contouring treatments, like a tummy tuck.
Is BodyTite Safe?
BodyTite is a safe, technologically advanced procedure. In fact, it is one of the safest body contouring treatments available to patients today. The applicator used to administer BodyTite treatments is equipped with advanced temperature sensing technology to prevent damage to the skin and dermis.
Additionally, unlike traditional tummy tuck or more invasive contouring surgeries, this revolutionary procedure doesn’t require patients to undergo the risk of general anesthesia.
Is BodyTite Worth It?
Patients looking for noticeable results through a minimally invasive procedure believe that BodyTite is a worthwhile solution. Patients will see an immediate improvement in body contour and noticeable contraction of the skin in the treated areas as early as six weeks.
