What is Clear + Brilliant?
Clear + Brilliant is a gentle laser treatment that uses innovative technology to fight and prevent many of the effects of aging skin. Treatment is based on fractional laser, a technology that has been proven in clinical trials to successfully address several common concerns that occur as the skin ages. During a single Clear + Brilliant session, millions of tiny zones across the treatment area are treated. The body views these zones as damaged and quickly responds with collagen, which renews youthful, vibrant skin.
The Clear & Brilliant system has two options. The original handpiece helps improve with overall skin texture fine lines and the appearance of pores, which unfortunately tend to enlarge with aging skin. The Permea handpiece is slightly milder and may be more effective for pigmentary changes and helps to give a more uniform, even skin tone. It is called Permea because the mild injury of the laser is designed to temporarily make the skin more permeable to skin care products, such as Vitamin A and C.
Clear + Brilliant treatments take about 20 minutes. It is best, however, to allow about an hour for the entire visit. Many patients are able to achieve their desired outcome with just a few visits, between three and six. During your consultation with Dr. Doppelt, the number of recommended treatments will be estimated depending on the extent of the problem to be corrected. A type of gentle laser treatment, Clear + Brilliant is designed to have minimal side effects while handling many of the common concerns of aging. After treatment, very mild redness and inflammation may occur. This will typically resolve within hours. At the longest, redness may remain for a day. Though a gentle treatment, Clear + Brilliant may be aided with topical anesthetic. We also include a cold air device, the Zimmer, into treatment sessions, to offset the gentle heat of fractional laser energy.
The results that come from Clear + Brilliant treatments can be seen immediately. They also progressively improve with time. Depending on the extent of damage, your skin care practices, the condition of your skin, and your age, results from treatment can last several months. These results may include:
